Frequently Asked Questions

Questions, answered honestly.

Straight answers about how Merit works, how we handle your data, and what to expect — no runaround.

Not yet. Merit does not currently offer automatic rostering from an SIS, though it is a feature we are actively exploring.

In the meantime, Merit is designed to work for as many schools as possible regardless of IT infrastructure, and we have worked hard to keep roster setup quick and straightforward using a simple import.

Merit supports Google sign-in authentication, available the moment your district is deployed. Users can also sign in with their email or username and a password, so schools that don't use Google accounts are fully supported.

Yes. Merit is built around row-level security, meaning every user can only see the data they are credentialed to see.

We will never sell student, staff, or district data to third parties — this commitment is written into our privacy policy and terms of service.

Merit is a self-serve product. Once your district administrator account is established, schools and users can get started with a library of readily available resources and an extensive help section that walks through every role and feature.

When a student redeems an item, it's banked as a request until a teacher or staff member approves it for use. This prevents situations like a single student submitting eight homework-pass requests at once, and keeps teachers in control of when and how rewards are used.

Merit includes robust reporting that lets administrators and staff compare behavior and recognition data throughout the course of the school year, giving leaders a clear picture across classrooms, schools, and the whole district.

We're a small, new product, and we're upfront about that. Merit was built by full-time educators who lived the challenges of PBIS management firsthand, and we're genuinely excited to partner with the schools and districts ready to choose us.

Being new also means you get a team that's responsive, invested in your success, and actively shaping the product around real classroom needs.
